Time trials – Sunday, May 15

The 2015 Spring Season will conclude on Sunday, May 15th, with a time trial.

Swimmers registered this season in the 8 and under through 18-year-old age groups should report at 7:00 a.m. sharp, suited up and ready to swim. Yes it’s early, but the swim team must be out of the pool by 9:00 and so a quick start is necessary to make sure every event can be completed.

The *Developmental Group* will not participate in the time trial but will have their final practice of the season starting at 8 a.m.  If the rest of the swimmers finish on time, developmental swimmers will have a chance to swim a length and show off their new skills.

Parents: The time trial lets swimmers swim under conditions similar to an actual meet. As such, we need volunteers — timers especially. Please come prepared to help.  Timing is easy to learn (5 minutes, at most, and we even provide a lesson), important to the swimmers, and a gentle entrance into the swim volunteer world.  So, if you can stay at the pool that morning, please help out.

Finally, we need one volunteer for a particularly crucial job. At the completion of the time trial, refreshments will be served to swimmers and parent volunteers. For this, someone must pick up five dozen donuts and three gallons of water/juice and bring them to the pool by 8:00 a.m. Reimbursement will be provided.  Please let our meet manager, Marc Swisdak know if you want this task and the undying gratitude that accompanies it.
