The Developmental registration fee will be $70 and all Age Groupers will be $120.

We will hold a ZOOM Parent Meeting on Saturday, August 31st to present information about the new session, to answer any questions you might have, and to vote for Board members for 2024-2025. If you are interested in running for any of the Board positions, please email greenbeltswim@gmail.com.

We’re looking forward to seeing you on-deck!

GM@IH, 7/6

Our next swim meet will be against Indian Head this Saturday, July 6th. The meet will be held at Lackey High School at 3000 Chicamuxen Road, Indian Head MD, 20640. The pool (which is indoors) is at the right end of the building. There is ample parking.

IMPORTANT: Indian Head is about 40 miles from Greenbelt. Please allow sufficient time to arrive by the report time of 7:30am. Upon arrival, swimmers should check in with the coaches. If there is a last-minute reason a swimmer cannot attend (sick, running late, etc.) please let us know!

Other notes:

  1. The pool configuration will differ from the usual. Spectators will sit in the mezzanine that overlooks the pool and wet swimmers are not permitted there. Instead, Greenbelt swimmers will be seated on bleachers on the pool deck. The team expects older swimmers to step up and help younger swimmers as necessary. We have assigned “buddies”; please emphasize to your older swimmers how important it is to step up and be a good teammate.
  2. If they wish, families may also set up canopies and chairs on the back patio.
  3. While we often meet as a team for lunch afterwards, due to this meet’s distance and lack of obvious options there are no official plans to do so. Instead everyone can look forward to next week’s meet back at GAFC.
